Y+ seek nominations from interested adolescents/young people living with HIV

Y+ seeks nominations from adolescents and young people living with HIV wishing to represent Y+ communities at the upcoming WHO Adolescent HIV Treatment Consultation that will take place from 17 – 18 September 2014 in Geneva. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss issues related to adolescents and their treatment needs for the 2015 Consolidated ARV Guidelines update and help the institution to shape the adolescent treatment research agenda.

We are looking for 2 individuals living with HIV aged 11 – 30 who have experience initiating ARV treatment during childhood or adolescence (11 – 19), and preferably someone who has demonstrated track record in treatment advocacy.  The person must also commit to working with Y+ and GNP+ to prepare for the meeting; learning about the WHO Guideline development processes, consulting with thecommunities of young people living with HIV in various regions, and feeding the meeting outcomes back to the communities she/he represents.
